“goan” (โกน) can be used in the following ways:

verb: to shave

The verb “goan” (โกน) is used when we make a part of our body smooth by cutting off the hair using a razor or shaver.


khun goan kaa boi kae nai?
(How often do you shave your legs?)

kao laang-naa, goan nuad lae gin aa-haan-chao laeo
เขาล้างหน้า โกนหนวด และกินอาหารเช้าแล้ว
(He washed, shaved, and had breakfast)

phom bpaad naa dtua-ayne dtawn thee gam-lang goan nuad
(I cut myself while I was shaving my mustache)
