“gleuan” (กลืน) can be used in the following ways:

The verb “gleuan” (กลืน) is used when we make food or drink go from our mouth down through our throat and into our stomach.


chan jeb kaw lae jeb dtawn gleuan
(I had a sore throat and it hurt to swallow)

ter reeb gleuan gaa-fae thee leua yoo thang-mud
(She quickly swallowed the rest of the coffee)

kao gleuan naam-laai yaang-gang-wun-jai gaawn dtawb
(He swallowed nervously before replying)
