Thai Word of the Day: “jung-jai” (จงใจ)

“jung-jai” (จงใจ) can be used in the following ways:

adverb: purposely / intentionally / deliberately

The adverb “jung-jai” (จงใจ) is when someone does something on purpose.

Examples:

phom mai dai jung-jai tham
ผมไม่ได้จงใจทำ
(I didn’t do it intentionally)

kao jung-jai bpeud bpra-dtoo thing wai
เขาจงใจเปิดประตูทิ้งไว้
(He purposely left the door open)

ter jung-jai tham hai man yaak sam-rap tuk-kon
เธอจงใจทำให้มันยากสำหรับทุกคน
(She deliberately made it difficult for everyone)

khun jung-jai tham nan, pheua tham hai chan ram-kaan
คุณจงใจทำนั้นเพื่อทำให้ฉันรำคาญ
(You did that deliberately, just to annoy me)
