Thai Word of the Day: “kaaen” (แค้น)

“kaaeng” (แค้น) can be used in the following ways:

adjective: is furious / is vengeful

The adjective “kaaen” (แค้น) is when we feel extremely angry toward someone.

Examples:

ter roo-seuk kaaen kao maak
เธอรู้สึกแค้นเขามาก
(She feels extremely furious with him)

ter kaaen faen gao kawng-ter thee hak-lang ter
เธอแค้นเขาเก่าของเธอมากที่หักหลังเธอ
(She is vengeful towards her ex-boyfriend for backstabbing her)

phuak-kao kaaen thee mai dai rap cheuhn bpai ngaan-liang
พวกเขาแค้นที่ไม่ได้รับเชิญไปงานเลี้ยง
(They were furious at not being invited to the party)
