Thai Word of the Day: “dee-gan” (คืนดี)

“keun-dee” (คืนดี) can be used in the following ways:

verb: to reconcile / to make friend

The verb “keun-dee” (คืนดี) is when we want to find a way to get things back on good terms or to restore good relations.

Examples:

phuak-kao keun-dee gan laeo
พวกเขาคืนดีกันแล้ว
(They have already reconciled with each other)

ter yak keun-dee gap faen kawng-ter
เธออยากจะคืนดีกับแฟนของเธอ
(She wants to reconcile with her boyfriend)

man yaak thee ja glab bpai keun-dee gap kon thee tham-raai jid-jai kawng-khun
มันยากที่จะคืนดีกับคนที่ทำร้ายจิตใจของคุณ
(It’s difficult to reconcile with people who mentally hurt you)
