Thai Word of the Day: “nawk-jai” (นอกใจ)

“nawk-jai” (นอกใจ) can be used in the following ways:

main verb: to be unfaithful / to cheat

The verb “nawk-jai” (นอกใจ) is when someone is having a sexual relationship with someone who is not their husband, wife, or partner.

Examples:

– khun mai nawk-jai kao chai mai?
(You haven’t been unfaithful to him, have you?)
– phan-ra-yaa kawng-kao nawk-jai kao
(His wife was cheating on him)
– kao mai keuy nawk-jai ter ma-gawn
(He had never been unfaithful to her before)
– kao saa-baan gap chan waa kao mai keuy nawk-jai
(He swore to me that he had never cheated)
