Thai Word of the Day: “sawn” (ซ่อน)

“sawn” (ซ่อน) can be used in the following ways:

verb: to hide / to conceal (something)

The verb “sawn” (ซ่อน) is used when we put something in a place so that no one can find or see it.


ter sawn gun-jae wai nai lin-chak
(She hid the key in the drawer)

kao sawn ngeuhn wai nai baan
(He hid the money in the house)

chan yak ja sawn kawng-kwan jaak kao jun-gwa ja theung wan-geud kawng-kao
(I wanted to hide his present from him until his birthday)
