Thai Word of the Day: “som-wang” (สมหวัง)

“som-wang” (สมหวัง) can be used in the following ways:

verb: to have one’s hope or wish fulfilled / to be happy / to be successful

The verb “som-wang” (สมหวัง) is used when we feel satisfied because we have our wish fulfilled.


kao mai som-wang
(He didn’t get his wish)

chan kaw hai khun som-wang
(I wish you happiness)

phom mai keuy som-wang reuang kwaam-rak
(I have never been successful when it comes to love)
