Cardinal Numbers (dtua-laek sa-daeng jam-nuan nap)

The number we use for counting are called cardinal numbers. The cardinal numbers in Thai is not difficult to learn. Once we know the numbers 1 – 10 we will be able to form any other numbers – up to 99.

Here are the Cardinal Numbers 0 – 10 in Thai:

– soon (ศูนย์) = zero

– neung (หนึ่ง) = one

– sawng (สอง) = two

– saam (สาม) = three

– see (สี่) = four

– haa (ห้า) = five

– hok (หก) = six

– jed (เจ็ด) = seven

– bpaed (แปด) = eight

– gaow (เก้า) = nine

– sib (สิบ) = ten
