“bpleuang” (เปลือง) can be used in the following ways:

adjective: is wasteful

The adjective “bpleuang” (เปลือง) is used to describe when someone is using something carelessly, so that some of it is wasted. It is shortened from the word “sin-bpleuang” (สิ้นเปลือง).

Examples:

– khun chai ngeuhn bpleuang
(You are wasteful with money)
– man bpen garn-dam-rong chee-wid thee bpleuang
(A wasteful way of living)
– man bpleuang thee khun ja yoon aa-haan thing maak-maai yaang nee
(It’s wasteful the way you throw so much food away like this)
