Thai Word of the Day: “chae” (แฉ)

“chae” (แฉ) can be used in the following ways:

verb: to reveal / to tell / to unfold (a secret information)

The verb “chae” (แฉ) is used to when someone let something become known, especially a secret or information that was previously not known.

Examples:

ter chawb chae reuang kawng kon-eun
เธอชอบแฉเรื่องของคนอื่น
(She likes to reveal stories about other people)

ter bpa-dti-sade thee ja chae neua-haa nai jod-maai
เธอปฏิเสธที่จะแฉเนื้อหาในจดหมาย
(She refused to reveal the contents in the letter)

thang sawng faai mai chae sing thee thuuk glaow theung nai bpra-chum
ทั้งสองฝ่ายไม่แฉสิ่งที่ถูกกล่าวถึงในการประชุม
(Neither side revealed what was discussed in the meeting)
