“dtaw-rawng” (ต่อรอง) can be used in the following ways:

verb: to negotiate / to haggle

The verb “dtaw-rawng” (ต่อรอง) is used to someone is trying to reach an agreement with someone else by discussing something in a formal way. We can also use “jay-ra-jaa dtaw-rawng” (เจรจาต่อรอง).


kaw dtaw-rawng ra-ka nid-noi dai mai?
(Can I haggle the price a little?)

thang sawng faai dtem-jai thee ja dtaw-rawng
(Both sides are willing to negotiate)

kao gam-lang dtaw-rawng gap saai-garn-bin gio-gap san-yaa mai
(He is negotiating with the airline about the new contract)
