The verb “maow” (เม้าท์) is used to when a group of people get together to chat away in a friendly way.

nan krai thee khun maow duay?
(Who was that you were chatting to?)

Khun maw maow dta-lawd nai-ka-nat thee ter dtruad meu kawng-chan
(The doctor chatted away as she examined my hand)

ter hua-rot lae maow yaang mee-kwaam-suk gap phoo-ying kon-eun
