Thai Word of the Day: “ngud-ngid” (หงุดหงิด)

“ngud-ngid” (หงุดหงิด) can be used in the following ways:

adjective: is irritable / is edgy / is grouchy

The adjective “ngud-ngid” (หงุดหงิด) is used when someone is likely to become easily annoyed or impatient.

Examples:

ter neuay lae ngud-ngid
เธอเหนื่อยและหงุดหงิด
(She was tired and irritable)

dtawn-nee kao gam-lang roo-seuk ngud-ngid
ตอนนี้เขากำลังรู้สึกหงุดหงิด
(At the moment, he is feeling irritable)

ter doo ngud-ngid lae ram-kaan gap tuk-yaang thee kao tham
เธอดูหงุดหงิดและรำคาญกับทุกอย่างที่เขาทำ
(She seemed irritable and annoyed with everything he does)
